Curious About Dog Rescue? It Can Be Rewarding!

Interested in Dog Rescue?

If you love dogs or are looking for something rewarding to do, you may want to look into doing rescue work. There are many places you can volunteer. Local rescues and animal shelters always need good help and gentle hands.

There are many jobs you could be doing like taking in new dogs, computer work, walking dogs, playing with them, and introducing prospective adopters, and so many other tasks

Many breed rescues need help, too. These are groups of people who focus on one particular breed of dog or group of dogs. Many of these rescues do not have an office or kennel facility.

The breed rescues place dogs in approved foster homes where they live inside where they can be fully socialized with people and dogs. Their medical and any training needs are paid for by the rescue group.

Shelters and rescues also hold fundraisers, and they need volunteers to plan, organize and work at those events. Events are fun, they raise money for the group, and often have adoptable dog in attendance so you can get your dog petting 'fix' for the day.  At the end of the day, you may be a bit tired, but you will be well satisfied that you were part of a really wonderful event.

So there is plenty to do in the area of dog rescue and not enough volunteers. All hands on deck for a marvelous time!
